Advanced Surveying TechniquesLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The objective is to teach the student to understand surveying and geographic information systems applications, to understand surveying coordinates and height measurements and to measure distance, angle and height differences with a tacheometer, with a robot tacheometer and with GPS-surveying machine . During the course the student will learn to use tacheometer, robot tahceometer and GPS-surveying machine. During the course stundent lern to understand different geographic information systems applications.

Content

Geodetic coordinates in building measurement. Electronic tacheometer, robot tacheometer and GPS use in building measurements. Structural position measurements using the tacheometer and mapping. Accuracy and tolerance of tacheometer, robot tacheometer and GPS measurements. Navigator use, geographic information systems applications use.
