Course unit code: TR00AD07
General information
- Credits
- 4 ECTS
Objective
On completion of the course the student will be able to:
- design a BIM based route design for a street/road project
- transfer a BIM based route project to a machine control model
- examine a BIM based plan in a coordination model
- perceive the working order and implementation of BIM based traffic design
- set up a project, take the initial data to the database and create a terrain model
- design horizontal and vertical geometry and build a route model
- create a 3D model of a route project and examine the route models of various routes in 3D
- calculate the quantities and mass of a plan and take them to cost calculation table
- print a plan map, a standard longitudinal and cross section
- draw up plans using a CAD based software
Content
The aim of the course is to practise using BIM based design software in traffic routes. Plan drawings are made for a traffic route as an assignment. The plan includes horizontal and vertical geometry design, planning a route model (cross section), quantity surveying and reporting of an information model. Creating printouts (map, longitudinal section and standard cross section). Examining the functionality of a route model in a coordination model. Transferring a BIM based plan to a machine control format.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering of the Traffic Facilities, Highway design
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is able to design a BIM based route model for a street/road project according to instructions.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is able to apply the above listed, learned knowledge and skills independently.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is able to give reasons for his or her choices related to the course contents in a comprehensive manner.
