Objective

On completion of the course the student will be familiar with
- coordinate and altitude systems
- geodetic calculations in construction measurements
- measuring differences in distance and altitude
- geodetic coordinates in building measurement
- mapping and position measurement of structures

Content

The student will be able to perform construction measurements in different coordinate and altitude systems. He or she will be familiar with different construction measurements and will be able to do related geodetic calculations.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to describe coordinate and altitude systems. He or she is able to do geodetic calculations in construction measurements. When instructed, he or she is able to measure differences in distance and altitude, as well as perform mapping and position measurements of structures.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply the above listed, learned knowledge and skills independently.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to give reasons for his or her choices related to the course contents in a comprehensive manner.

Laboratoriossa opetusmateriaalina ovat erilaiset mittalaitteet, taululle kirjoitettavat muistiinpanot ja ohjeet sekä mittalaitteilla tehtävät harjoitustehtävät.

Laboratoriossa työskennellään ryhmissä tekemällä käytännön harjoituksia mittalaitteilla painottaen korkeuden mittaamista vaaituskojeella ja rakennusten mittausta takymetrillä sekä niihin liittyviä laskuharjoituksia.
