Profile of the programme
The aim of the degree programme is to familiarize students with the properties of materials and coatings and the grounds of their selection and to provide skills to produce coatings with various techniques.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
The graduates from this degree programme are competent in various kinds of jobs in the building, metal, polymer, wood product as well as chemical and process industries. These include expert duties in product design and development, production and labour management, quality assurance and customer service as well as marketing and selling. Qualified engineers find also employment as educators in vocational schools.

access to Master's studies according to the qualifications required by the university
Examination regulations, assessment and grading
each course assessed using grading 0-5. Grade 0 = fail and grades 1-5 = pass. The assessment criteria is presented in each course description and the actual assessment methods depends on the teacher of the course.
