Objective

The student is expected to know - the work phases and working methods of interior surface treatments - the required properties of substrates materials to be surface coated - applicable painting and wall papering systems - the properties of products applicable to interior surface treatment The student is expected to be able to - study the properties of interior coating materials - select applicable coatings for different substrates - prepare the surface treatment specification.
The student is expected to be able to - perform pretreatment and finishing works, call for bids, offer calculation and project time schedule

The substrate materials used in interiors Pretreatment of different substrates (rendering, levelling, finishing, grinding etc) Paints and lacquers applicable to different stress classes Property requirements of surface treatment materials Painting systems according to MaalausRYL Water insulation Wall papering works Tile revetment works Floor coatings and floor coating works Stress classes and quality classes of the finished surface treatments Painting specification, Calculation the need of materials and amount of work and time Calculation of costs.
