Objective

After completing this course the student can present the methods of product painting and list the standards related to the subject. He or she can price items to be painted and carry out required quality inspections. The student will know the basics of plant planning and quality requirements, control and systems in product painting. Students know the required permissions needed for establishing a paintshop and also the required procedures in environmental protection and waste treatment. He or she will also be familiar with surface treatments of plastics.

1. The student can define proper painting methods for different materials.

2. The student can present the tasks in painting management like cost accounting and quality control.

3. The student can define the painting facilities.

4. The student can describe the surface treatments of plastics.

1. The student can describe the essential standards in the field.

2. The student can describe the basis of cost accounting and quality control of product painting.

3. The student can carry out quality inspections.

4. The student can describe the requirements of environmental protection and waste handling in product painting.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. The student can draw up the licence applications required in establishing a paintshop.

2. The student can calculate costs and prices of product painting.
