Objective

On completion of the course the student will understand the construction of a raster image, the principles of compression and image manipulation.
On completion of the course the student will be able to use an image processing application for color correction of aerial photographs and produce orthomosaics.

Content

The fundamentals of image processing, image data compression, coding and data management; the production of orthomosaics.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to create an orthomosaic including color correction and seamline correction using specialized software.
