Osaamistavoitteet

On completion of the course the student will be able to: produce formal reports on environmental engineering projects and present them orally; refer to and include tables, figures, mathematical expressions, chemical formulae and other data appropriately in reports and oral presentations; apply the conventions of technical writing and documenting and of referencing data and source material in environmental engineering when writing a project report; communicate professionally in project-related situations.

Principles of planning, structuring and writing a project report in environmental
engineering.
- Use of tables and figures in written reports and oral presentations.
- Use of mathematical expressions, chemical formulae and numerical data in texts and oral communication.
- Documentation of data and source material in texts.
- Appropriate use of language register in project reports (formal / informal language).
- Oral project communication: team work, consultations, meetings and negotiations.
- Reporting on an environmental engineering project both orally and in writing.
- Receiving feedback on and developing one’s writing and presentation skills.
