Objective

On completion of the course the student will learn principles of most common unit operations of chemical engineering. The student will be able to calculate main dimensions of chosen equipment. The student will learn mathematic skills, which are needed in designing of equipment. The student masters the basics of the industry-specific English language at work.

5. Statistical methods

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student shows that he or she is familiar with the basic knowledge and core content of his her own field of study and can search for information in diverse sources.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can logically and coherently use concepts and knowledge of his or her own field of study.
The student can search for information as well as evaluate and critically use sources.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can expertly use the concepts and knowledge of his or her field of technology and justify his or her use of sources. The student can also explain and justify actions and operations on the basis of research data and findings.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved:
The student shows that he or she is familiar with the basic knowledge and core content of his her own field of study and can search for information in diverse sources.
Failed:
The student does not sufficiently master or value knowledge of his or her own study field, and he or she lacks sufficient knowledge or ability to use the concepts of his or her study field.
