Objective
Students learn the concepts of heat transfer technology and energy efficiency covered by the course so well that they are able to solve the main problems connected with these concepts, to apply their knowledge in subsequent intermediate level studies and to provide expertise in future occupations.

1. Conduction, multi-layered walls
2. Convection, heat transfer parameters
3. Overall heat transfer, heat exchangers and their calculation
4. Radiation heat transfer
5. Optimization of heat exchanger network
6. Evaporation and condensation, and their calculation
7. Multi-stage evaporation
8. Diffusion and moisture
9. Drying and dryers
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student shows that he or she is familiar with the basic knowledge and core content of his her own field of study and can search for information in diverse sources.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student can logically and coherently use concepts and knowledge of his or her own field of study.
The student can search for information as well as evaluate and critically use sources.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student can expertly use the concepts and knowledge of his or her field of technology and justify his or her use of sources. The student can also explain and justify actions and operations on the basis of research data and findings.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student does not sufficiently master or value knowledge of his or her own study field, and he or she lacks sufficient knowledge or ability to use the concepts of his or her study field.
