Objective

After completion of this course, the student has a satisfactory command of English for technology in general and the basics of field-specific English, is familiar with the vocabulary and use of English related to company world and education, and is familiar with cross-cultural communication.

After completion of this course the student is able to, in a satisfactory way, communicate in working life situations, describe field-specific products and the operations of a company, understand texts on topics related to technology in general and field-specific texts, give an oral presentation, and write a letter of application and a CV and survive a job interview.

English for technology in general and the basics of field-specific English (bio and food technology); corporate world and business communication for engineers; job application process; engineering studies

Conversational strategies and efficient communication in different
work-related situations. Utilization of different reading strategies in the learning process. Structured, organized and accurate documentation in work-related situations in the field of bio and food technology.
