English for Automotive Engineering 3Laajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student is able to produce business letters and internal documents required at work and communicate professionally in his/her position with clients and colleagues.
The student knows the most important documents used in logistics and is able to complete forms needed in different transport modes. The student understands the contents of Incoterms and understands the general terms and conditions in transport agreements.

Content

- Key English grammar and field-related vocabulary.
– Reporting (work placement report)
- Field-related technical texts, important documents needed in import and export trade, terms of delivery, Incoterms.
- Customer service situations, written business correspondence, reporting, trade fairs and demonstrating a product at a trade fair

Qualifications

The prerequisite for this course is a completed course in English for Automotive Engineering 2 or equivalent.
