Objective

The student knows temperature scales and the most important methods of temperature measurements. The student knows the fundamental laws of thermodynamics and understands their limitations and meaning in technology. The student knows the generation mechanisms of oscillations and is able to apply them in product technology.

Temperature and its measurement, thermal expansion. Thermal energy and phase transitions. Heat transfer. Mechanical oscillations and waves. Light as wave motion, optical fibres.
