Objective

The student knows the fundamental laws of rotation and is able to apply them to central subjects in her/his profession.
The student knows the fundamental laws of fluid mechanics and is able to use the knowledge in fluid technology.
The student is able to make physical measurements, use modern measuring instruments, analyse the results obtained and prepare written documents about the measurements.

Content

Kinematics and dynamics of rotational motion. Statics of fluids: pressure, hydrostatic pressure, buoyancy. Fluid mechanics: fundamental concepts, Bernoulli’s law, frictional force in a medium.


Viscosity and surface tension. Generalised Bernoulli’s law.
