Student understands the origin and behaviour of vibrations and wave motion. Understanding the properties of light and most important optical phenomena. Understanding of basic concepts of thermal physics and their consequences in technical systems

Mechanical and electrical vibrations and wave motion. Properties of light. Optical phenomena. Thermal physics: thermal expansion, phase chances, heat transfer, gas processes. The laws of thermodynamics.
