Objective
After finishing the course the student understands the connection between time domain and frequency domain and transient effects, distortion and harmonics in electric network.
Content
1. Transient analysis with differential equations and Laplace transform.
2. Fourier series and Fourier transformation.
3. Distortion and harmonics.
4. Non-symmetrical 3-phase system.
5. Transient effects in electricity distribution.
6. Transformers.

1. The student understands the connection between time domain and frequency domain, via Fourier transformation.
2. The student understands the basics of transformers.

1. The student can analyze non-symmetrical 3-phase networks.
2. The student can apply Laplace transform to analyze transient effects in circuits.

1. The student understands deeply the effects of harmonics in mains network.
2. The student understands the mathematical basis of transient analysis and can apply it to complex electric circuits.
