Objective

After finishing the course the student can operate basic electric measuring equipment, is familiar with dangers of electricity and safety regulations and can work safely.

Content

1. Using multimeter and oscilloscope.
2. Root causes of electric accidents and procedures if an accident occurs.
3. Health effects of electric current, safety solutions in electric equipment and installations.
4. SFS 6002 standard and electric work safety.
5. Electrical safety examination 3 and the standards concerning it.

Qualifications

No prerequisites.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student can operate the basic measuring equipment and can do electric work safely. The student knows what electric work can be done with certain requirements.
2. The student can act appropriately if an electric accident occurs.
3. The student is familiar with the most important standards on electrical engineering and can search them for information.


GRADING: PASS/FAIL.
