Objective

After taking the course the student has basic knowledge of applications of data bus technology in vehicles. The student recognizes different bus topologies and mainlines of standards and is able to develop and maintain bus controlled systems in vehicles.

Vehicle bus structures and standards. Analyzers and connecting to a data bus.

1. The student understands the benefits of vehicle bus technology and recognizes the most common bus types.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. The student understands the differences between bus types and can interpret the bus traffic with measurement equipment.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. The student has a deep understanding of the operating principles of buses both from the electrical engineering and computer engineering point of view.
