Objective

Students understand the commercial and industrial terminals and storage implementation models and their importance as part of the distribution systems. Students are aware of the material used for the storage handling the devices and technologies. Students master the warehouse operations, planning, control and manage the most important information technology opportunities. Students have the understanding of the objectives of the inventory control and he can set the computer to the requirements for development projects.

Content

Concepts and definitions, internal logistics, service components, storage optimization, storage effect on return on equity, warehouse planning and control, store distribution system, warehouse operations and storage types, warehouse processing units, storage of material flow planning, warehouse processes. Warehousing management systems, warehouse control and more effective, storage control and warehouse picking inventory tracking, automatic identification and safety stocks.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. Students are familiar with warehousing and storage technologies for use in material handling equipment, as well as part of the description of the inventory process.
2. Inventory control criteria and knowledge of inventory management systems, knowledge of the properties is a basic requirement in the course of the approved transaction.

1. They understand how storage technologies and material handling equipment characteristics affect the design and inventory costs.
2. Students also have the ability to understand the impact of the development process inventory storage costs and how they can affect the storage technology.
