Objective
The student understands mathematical methods and means in transport route engineering and in warehouse placing. The student knows how to use simulation and programming to
resolve alternative transportation.
Content
Mathematical means and models of route planning and how to locate stocks, how to use simulation and linear programming. Transportation management systems, and transportation costs.

1. The student is able to describe what is meant by transportation route planning and how to react cost-effectively in logistics flows.
2. The student is able to guide the operational activities of transportation and make choices regarding vehicles.

1. The student is able to explain on what basis the suitable modes of transportation and routes are chosen.
2. How the transport is controlled effectively and how it is measured.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
1. The student is able to design and implement a mathematical model of the network and knows how to calculate the maximum flow at minimum cost.
