1. Health and safety regulations at work, labour legislation, Fire certificate
2. Get to know the field and businesses
3. Basics of work environment (labour legislation, labour market activities…)
4. The basics of customer service in a company

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student is familiar with safety regulations at work
2. The student prepares a short report on a topic related to work environment. The student familiarises himself/herself with at least two companies or organisations within the field.
3. The student knows the basics of labour legislation
4. The student knows the basics of consumer protection policy.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. The student knows the core issues and practices of Safety at Work (risks for safety, risk analysis, occupational hazards, typical workplace accidents…)
2. The student compiles a thorough report on a topic that relates to work environment or organises a successful visit to a suitable location and familiarises himself/herself with at least two companies or organisations within the field.
3. The student is familiar with the basics of work legislation.
4. The student is able to analyze consumer complaints on the basis of legislation and on the basis of prevailing practice.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. The student acquires Workplace Safety and Fire cards (or equivalent)
2. The student makes an excellent report on a topic that relates to work environment or organises a successful visit to a suitable location and familiarises himself/herself with at least two companies or organisations within the field
3. The student is familiar with the basics of work legislation.
4. The student is able to analyze consumer complaints on the basis of legislation and on the basis of prevailing practice.
