Objective
Upon completion of this course the student will know the basic measurement techniques and concepts, the common technologies used in car applications in order to design measuring systems from start to finish. Additionally the student will know computer programs that are used in measurement applications.

The student is familiar with the basic principles of measurement techniques and knows the various sensor types and knows what they are used for. The student knows the basics of measurement systems and the required components.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student will have basic knowledge of measurement techniques, various sensor types and knows what they are used for. The student knows the basics of measurement systems and the components required and how the quality of measurements can be influenced.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student has an excellent command of the basic principles of measurement techniques, knows various sensor types and what they are used for. S/he demonstrates a deeper understanding of the principles of measurement techniques and the components required and how one can affect the quality of measurements when designing a functional measurement system.
