Objective

The student has a good insight into solving problems in technical applications using mathematical methods and computer programs.

Content

The content varies. Possible topics are, for example, interpolation, optimization and mathematical modeling and simulation.

The student knows the basic concepts and is able to apply them using computer, asking help if needed.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has a deep understanding of the concepts and knows how to apply them using computer. The student understand the possibilities of the methods but also their limitations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the requirements above, the student has a deep understanding of the topics covered in the course and is able to apply them creatively and sensibly in different applications.
