Objective

The goal of the course is to learn basics of 3D modeling and gain knowledge on how to implement gained knowledge as part of design process.

Content

1. Part design
2. Making drafting using 3D software
3. Modelling of assemblies
4. Modelling of sheet metal structures

Qualifications

TA00AC21 Technical Drawing

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. Is able to model parts satisfactory. Don’t know all the required tools and the use of them effectively
2. Is able to make draftings using automated tools.
3. Is able to create an assembly, but don’t understand the boundary conditions between components.
4. Is able to understand differences between sheet and solid components, but is not able to use sheet metal design tools

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1. Is able to model parts effectively. Knows the usage of all the basic tools used in exercises.
2. Is able to generate and add dimensions to draftings.
3. Is able to create an assembly and use boundary conditions between components effectively.
4. Is able to model sheet metal parts effectively and take advantage of the knowledge in component design.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1. Is able to model parts efficiently and logically. Is able to use the tools learned effectively in course’s “own assignment”.
2. Is able to create orthodox draftings.
3. Is able to use all the assembly tools in course’s “own assignment”.
4. Is able to model sheet metal tools and use them effectively in course’s “own assignment”.
