Objective

The objective is to initiate the student into self-directed study and various learning techniques and to achieve the skills for problem-oriented and investigative learning.

The student will have command of the methods of information retrieval and will be provided with skills for investigative and shared learning and for preparing his/her final project. The student will be aware of stress factors related to study and of principle means of stress management. The student will understand and have command of various methods of evaluation, including self-evaluation, peer evaluation, evaluation by faculty and their impact on the study process.

Preparing an individual study plan (ISP)
Theories and concepts of learning
Methods and means of evaluating studies (including self-evaluation, peer evaluation, evaluation by faculty, objects of evaluation)
Methods of time and stress management

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Passed: The student takes an active role during the learning process and can apply the knowledge when planning his/her own professional growth and profile. The student can use materials provided during the course to develop one's learning capability independently. The student takes actively part in group work during the lessons.
