Objective

The students become familiar with processing fibres into yarns and fabrics. They learn to identify the various fabric structures and understand their effect on the properties of the product. They understand the effect the weaves have on the properties and the final appearance of the fabric. The variety and significance of the accessories in the product is addressed. Moreover, the students gain insight into purchasing process of materials and fabric agencies.

- Various production methods and their impact on finished products,
- Textile properties linked with fabric structures,
- Analysing fabrics and weaves,
- Company-oriented purchasing processes, fabric agencies, and accessories
