Basics of Measurement TakingLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The students learn anthropometric measurement taking and the correct points for measurement taking
in a human body from the point of view of industrial manufacturing. The students also learn to use the measurement charts as the basis for standardized sizes and how to efficiently use charts when grading.

Content

Concepts related to anthropometric measurements, development, and purposes are learned. The correct points for measurement taking are identified and measurement tables are interpreted. The standardized measurement tables are identified as the basis for the size standards. Measurement tables are utilized when grading
