Objective

Students gain a command of the technique, rhythm handling and phrasing required by the repertoire and are able to interpret and improvise with insight. Students adopt a wide range of chord voicings, have a command of accompaniment tasks in different ensembles, attain fluent music reading skills and gain facilities for B-level studies.

Content

Exercises in scales, chords, rhythm and improvisation, obtaining a stylistically broad repertoire, and developing sight-reading and music interpretation skills.
