-students have got more experiences of the area as a musician

Content

Session 1
- “Compose a theme through repetition, variation, contrast procedures”
- Studio activity: compose a solo instrument piece
Session 2
- “Soundscape (Dialogue, Music, Sfx) in relation with common musical cliché, musical-rethorical figures, Foreground/Background relation
- Studio activity: compose a free counterpoint piece
Session 3
“Soundtrack: Main theme and incidental pieces”
- Studio activity: compose a piece and useful loopable samples to underscore a brief scene
Session 4
- “Improvised Mock up: practical way to move from a sketch up melody through Midi – Basics of orchestration”
- Studio activity: score a piece using both acoustic and virtual instruments
Session 5
- “Film music business: how to find productions and set your freelance career”
- Studio activity: score a short video using acoustic and virtual instruments
Session 6
- “Studio activity: score a short movie for a 24h competition within 2 hours”
Session 7
- “Closing and valuating/feedback"

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The assessment is based on the student’s work during the course, his/her skills and knowledge at the completion of the course, and his/her ability to reach the set objectives.
