Objective

The student is able to design the equipment setup for a small music studio, including hardware and cable connections. The student is able to maintain and, in some cases, repair studio equipment.

Content

- Setup of a computer-based music studio
- Cable construction and fundamentals of audio system earthing
- Basics of troubleshooting logic
- Installing computer operating systems and software
- Backup copying onto hard disks
- Basic operational testing of equipment
- Designing simple cable structures and soldering
- Anticipating and repairing operational failures due to oxidization

The assessment is based on the student’s work during the course, his/her skills and knowledge at the completion of the course, and his/her ability to reach the set objectives.
