Harmony InstrumentLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

Student acquires basic skills in instrument, accompanying him/herself with one of the harmony instruments (i.e. guitar, 10-string or bigger traditional Finnish harp, accordion.

Content

Practising of repertoire appointed by teacher, in such a way that the student
a) acquires facility in the most common playing techniques
b) acquires facility in the most common chords for the guitar / fingering in the Finnish harp / using the standard-bass accompaniment for a melody played by the right hand in different keys with the accordion
c) acquaints o.s. with further chords / practises the use of chords with the right hand as well as transposing compositions to an other key with accordion
d) acquires technical facility in playing, required for level 1/3.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

A performance that meets the minimum criteria, but no more. The candidate demonstrates a very limited degree of judgement and independent thinking.
