Early MusicLaajuus (6 ECTS)

Objective

During the Specialised Early Music Course the student should become familiar with Early Music performance practices either on a period instrument or on the modern instrument that they already play.

Content

Coursework includes individual lessons and practice, lectures, written work, ensembles, observation and chamber music. The number of individual lessons depends on whether the student studies a period instrument (individual lessons only) or a modern instrument/piano/singing (individual lessons and other work). The student can select course modules from various options, which must be agreed beforehand with the teacher.

Qualifications

Singers should have passed the C-course or some other equivalent course.
