Objective

The student learns to know the process of making an opera production through performance in a medium-sized role.

Content

Singers chosen on the basis of an annual audition gain familiarity with the practical making of an opera project. The music is rehearsed with a répétiteur, and the stage rehearsals and role analysis are completed under the supervision of the opera director. Any knowledge on manners and customs required in the production, as well as movement on stage, are studied as a period course parallel with the stage rehearsals.
