Objective

The student learns to understand western art music through singing, listening, analysis and transcription exercises. He/she learns precision in intonation and rhythm by singing, develops the skill of internal hearing of music, and learns to sing á prima vista. In addition, he/she learns how to transcribe both unisonous and polyphonic excerpts of modal and tonal compositions and harmony.

Practising small unisonous and polyphonic compositions and excerpts of compositions in different clefs by singing, playing and analysing.
