Objective
The students can function in the production environment of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and produce a short practical assignment in a small group. They learn how the visual material and audio material are transferred from shooting to editing, to the post-production of the sound, and to the final master in the production environment. The students know the production environment from booking the equipment to the final airing copy. They understand the requirements set by the production environment in a television or film production. They know how to carry out their practical work in the production culture. The students master the fundamentals of sound equipment from shooting to post production and to the final airing copy.

Developing skills needed with respect to technology and production. Assignments related to filming, recording, editing, and post production. Mastering the production environment.
Sound:
Fundamentals of sound recording devices
Fundamentals of wireless microphones
Recording in a variety of shooting situations
Compiling a list of equipment
Reserving the equipment
Packing the equipment
Checking the filming date
Transferring the audio material from the editing unit

Creating a logging list from the filmed material
Transporting the material to the editing unit from different sources

Post production of sound:
Transferring the completed sound work back to the editing unit
Combining image and sound
