Audio production and podcastingLaajuus (10 ECTS)

Objective

Students master the fundamentals of podcasting. They will also understand the characteristics of podcasting. Students know the new aspects of audio journalism that podcasting has brought along. Students know the needs of podcasting production from concept design to publishing.

Students are able to write a script for and produce a podcast series concept. They master complex audio and sound expression and are able to implement their ideas in a podcast. They are capable of reflecting on and developing their creative expression. They can analyze and challenge the traditional forms of narrative and find alternatives for them.

Students are able to develop new kinds of content and concepts for the podcasting. They know various techniques of audio narrative and are able to use them in their work. They are able to handle an extensive amount of information and to select and organize the information into meaningful programme content

Attendance in classes. Assignments completed. Some parts of the assignments need improvement.

Active participation in classes. Ability to apply the learned knowledge.
