Objective

Students can produce programmes that fit the channel profile and the programming chart. They know the key principles of sound design and sound narrative and are able to apply them when producing a radio programme. They know the fundamentals of sound production on the radio. They understand the concepts of ‘channel profile’ and ‘channel sound’. They can develop their own expression and reflect on their performance. They have good verbal and performance skills.

Students specializing in journalism understand the importance of creating a radio personality. They can host and introduce live and recorded radio shows. They can use a variety of sound elements in addition to spoken language.

Students specializing in production can analyze contents and give feedback. They know how to communicate and negotiate with editorial and production staff and how to improve their own interaction skills. They understand the significance of the form and style of radio programme stream.

Students specializing in television directing are able to communicate and negotiate with the editorial and production staff, and know how to improve their own interaction skills. They are able to edit radio content for the Internet and television and are able to carry out the broadcasting independently. They know how to visualize the channel profile.

Qualifications

Open university students:
This course is part of the Radio Broadcasting Studies. Courses have to be studies in a specific order. Not all courses need to be chosen, but the order needs to be this: Basics of Radio Broadcasting, Radio Production, Radio Expression, Editorial Work, Current Affairs on the Radio

Active participating to the lectures.  Ability to adapt and reflect. Exercises done with new knowledge to the subject.

Completing the course with a pass grade requires that a student has met the objectives of the course as defined in the course implementation.
