Dramaturgical Analysis of a Fiction FilmLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

Long fiction film: the students can read a long fiction film analytically and conceptually. The students can find an internal structure of a feature film. The students know the central film theoretical applications of Aristotelian dramaturgy. After completing the course, the students can apply the structural knowledge to film analyses and to their own writing.

TV-film: the students can read the television film conceptually and analytically. The student can outline the internal structure of the TV film After completing the course, the student can apply the knowledge of structure to analyzing TV film and to their own writing.

Linear and non-linear film

TV film:
Structure and characteristics of TV film
TV film from the point of view of subscriber

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Completing the course with a pass grade requires that a student has met the objectives of the course as defined in the course implementation.
