Objective

The students master the main lineages in the historical development of film, television and the radio. They understand the way the present media environment is interlinked to the history of film and the media. They know the historical background in their professional field and can critically assess the field with respect to history.

Content

Main features in the history of film, radio and television work
Origin and developmental history of audiovisual narration and esthetics
Aesthetics, technical and socio-economic dimensions of the media history and the linkages between forms of media

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Participating the lectures.  Exercises done, some shortages.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Active participating to the lectures. Ability to adapt.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Active participating to the lectures.  Ability to adapt and reflect. Exercises done with new knowledge to the subject. 

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Completing the course with a pass grade requires that a student has met the objectives of the course as defined in the course implementation.
