Objective

Students know the work environment and job descriptions of public and commercial radio broadcasting. They know the workflow and practices of a radio broadcast crew. Students can work according to their job description in radio programme production. Students know the principles of content planning for a radio station. They know the production process of a radio programme and what resources are needed to produce a radio programme. Students can generate a simple concept for a programme and pitch it.

Students specializing in journalism know the basics of target group thinking and are able to apply them in their work.

Students specializing in production are able to draw up and implement a production plan. They know the basics of target group thinking and are able to compile a presentation kit to pitch a programme concept.

Students specializing in television directing can use the content of a radio programme to create a simple visual version of it for the Internet or television and to carry out the broadcasting independently.

Qualifications

Open university students:
This course is part of the Radio Broadcasting Studies. Courses have to be studies in a specific order. Not all courses need to be chosen, but the order needs to be this: Basics of Radio Broadcasting, Radio Production, Radio Expression, Editorial Work, Current Affairs on the Radio

Participating the lectures.  Exercises done, some shortages.

Active participating to the lectures. Ability to adapt.

Active participating to the lectures.  Ability to adapt and reflect. Exercises done with new knowledge to the subject.

Completing the course with a pass grade requires that a student has met the objectives of the course as defined in the course implementation.
