Objective
The students will learn about packaging requirements and alternatives and legislation affecting packaging design. On the basis of market and competitor analyses, the students will be able to design a product identity. Using this product identity, they will learn to design effective and visually interesting packaging solutions and solve any packaging and usability problems. The students will learn about the most important packaging materials and know how to produce the printing material using a suitable package printing method.

- Name and logo of product or service
- Marketing, advertising, sales, consumer and environmental requirements set for packaging
- Packaging design: Target group, size, shape, structure, materials and colours
- Packaging materials and printing methods
- Preparing the packaging for production
- Project management in packaging design
- Package as part of product and corporate image
- New technology solutions in packages
