Objective

Students know the main phases and pioneers of the Western theatre, as well as global practices of applied theatre. They are able to distinguish differences between stage expression in different cultures and they see the relationship between stage expression and the cultural context.

Content

The course covers the birth and development of the Western theatre, the main turning points and characteristics of different periods. The course will also examine a selection of aspects of non-Western theatre from the perspective of applied theatre.

Participating the lectures. Exercises done, some shortages.
