Pigments 1Laajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

Students will learn to apply the knowledge linked with properties and chemical consistencies of old traditional pigments when analysing and studying pigments and shades.

Content

The course covers colour chemistry, colour measurements, properties of pigments, chemical consistencies as well as research methods of pigments both in theory and practise. During the course students prepare a pigment port folio with reference samples.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Approved passing of the course demands that the student fulfills the requirements specified in each course implementation.
