Objective

The student understands the nature of project work and the requirements concerning contracting, scheduling, planning, project management and documentation. The student understands the principles of project work. He/she understands the importance of information exchange and co-operation with different interest groups. The project encourages to innovative problem - solving. The student is able to deepen his/her professional qualifications and expertise and is able to evaluate her/his role and action as a project team member. The student develops an understanding of how to acquire and revise information from different sources as well as to adapt that information to a new material.

Content

A project implemented in co-operation with working life.It can consist of different tasks of a conservator/museum employee in the museum field or with a private client. It can be inventory work done from the conservator’s point of view, collection management and analyzing deterioration/risks, storage planning or practical conservation/restoration work etc.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved passing of the course demands that the student fulfills the requirements specified in each course implementation.
