Objective
The student understands the nature of project work and the requirements concerning contracting, scheduling, planning, project management and documentation. The student understands the principles of project work. He/she understands the importance of information exchange and co-operation with different interest groups. The project encourages to innovative problem - solving. The student is able to deepen his/her professional qualifications and expertise and is able to evaluate her/his role and action as a project team member. The student develops an understanding of how to acquire and revise information from different sources as well as adapt that information to a new material.
Content
A project implemented in co-operation with working life. It can consist of different tasks of a conservator/museum employee in the museum field or with a private client. tI can be inventory work done from the conservator’s point of view, collection management and analyzing deterioration/risks, storage planning or practical conservation/restoration work, analysis of conservation materials etc.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Minimum level (1) requirements
The student has restricted knowledge or has not coherently demonstrated theoretical and methodological insight. The capacity to formulate the relevant problems associated with the work is limited, little independence and critical evaluation is demonstrated. The analysis, documentation and interpretation are performed in a less satisfactory manner. The structure of the work is unclear and the application of terminology, language and references inadequate. Where relevant the practical work is below a satisfactory standard or insufficient.
