Objective

Learning objectives:

Upon completion the student will know the textile raw materials: terms, production methods, qualities, finishing methods as well as care and wash instructions. He/she recognises the most important textile layer textures. The student will be able to choose the appropriate raw materials for his/her own textile products and is able to creatively both test and combine different materials. The student is familiar with with the fire-safety requirements and endurance requirements set for textiles. He/she is also able to compare textile products in relation to use value, economic efficiency and ecology.
