Objective

The student will know the principles of designing woven textiles. He/she will be able to design different weave structures and apply the theory of weave drafting to practical work. The student will understand the effect of technical structure and material on the surface design of the fabric. The student will be able to produce samples independently.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

After passing the course the student knows basics of weave structures. She/He is able to shape different variations of weaving structures. The student knows the tools and materials for weaving and she/he is able to produce samples of weaved textiles.

After passing the course the student knows well basics of weave structures. She/He is able to shape well different variations of weaving structures. The student knows well the tools and materials for weaving and she/he is able to produce samples of weaved textiles.

After passing the course the student knows very well basics of weave structures. She/He is able to shape very well different variations of weaving structures. The student knows very well the tools and materials for weaving and she/he is able to produce samples of weaved textiles.
