Chinese 2Laajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The students use the Pinyin system and syntax. They form basic declarative and interrogative clauses. The students are able to introduce themselves and others in Chinese, describe their language skills, use 14 interrogatives, talk about Finland, their family and everyday life, make appointments, and perform small interviews.

Content

The entire Pinyin system; syntax; oral exercises for everyday situations; about 50 Chinese characters (in addition to those learned on Chinese 1).

Qualifications

Chinese 1 or equivalent knowledge

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has achieved the course objectives on a satisfactory level. The student’s target language communication skills and cultural knowledge are limited compared to the content of the course.

The student has achieved the course objectives on a good level, but some aspects of the student’s skills and knowledge still require further attention. The student’s target language communication skills and cultural knowledge are good with regard to the content of the course. The student is able to apply the acquired skills in communication situations encountered in studies, work, or free time.
