Empowerment and Social InfluenceLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

Students understand the concept of empowerment and know different means of empowerment. They understand the meaning of social influence in socio-pedagogical work. Students also learn social participation and influence.

Content

Empowerment as a concept, the social starting-point of empowering work (power), empowering work as a part of socio-pedagogical work, increasing of client power, the political nature of socio-pedagogical work, social participation, means of social influence.
