Metallurgy 2Laajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student will deepen his knowledge in metallurgy and will be able to apply metallurgical theories to precision casting methods, milling, soldering and welding. The student will become better in making various metal prostheses and will be able to pay attention to not only the technical but also the prosthesis user's individual requirements.

Content

Different approaches to dental prostheses users, principles of the precision casting, milling, soldering and welding of metals, and investigative applications of these, theory and practice of making crown and bridge prostheses, theory and practice of partial metal prostheses.
